Activists from across the state came together March 10 at the Capitol for Health Care for All Minnesota’s 2026 Health Care Lobby Day. Nearly 100 attendees, advocates, community members, and partners showed up in force to demand a health care system that puts people over profit.
Participants held approximately 60 legislative visits with offices representing districts across Minnesota. Nearly all in-person attendees took part in scheduled meetings, ensuring that lawmakers heard directly from constituents about the urgent need for reform.
This year’s Lobby Day came at a critical moment, as the Patient Centered Care bill (PCC bill) was heard in both Senate and House committees. Advocates shared personal stories, lifted up the real impacts of our current system, and made the case for bold, structural change.
Beyond meetings with legislators, Lobby Day created space for connection and learning. Attendees heard from legislators who champion health care reform, participated in trainings, built community with fellow advocates, and strengthened their skills to continue organizing beyond the event.
While the committee hearings have now taken place, the momentum from Lobby Day continues. The relationships built, stories shared, and pressure generated are critical as we move forward in our campaign.
Thank you to everyone who showed up, spoke out, and made their voices heard. This work doesn’t stop here–together–we will keep pushing for a health care system that works for all Minnesotans.
